To love with Krabi

From Krabi Trip

Its hot hot burning weather, shouldnt ve prayed for too much sun earlier. But God is great, made a wonderful island like Krabi, beautiful landscaping of limestone caves and beaches.

If had a chance, I would had stayed for a longer time, can't imagine many ang mors there spending like 10days. What can they do in such a touristy place? Everything would be soo ex, but well, they really behaved like a thai there, didnt know these ang mors love thais so much :)

I cant recall bumping to any chinese though, almost everywhere we go, stay, eat, shop are always ang mors or thais. Thais are really friendly people i must admit, perhaps offer better service than Singaporeans, they deserve their tips :) I didnt know i could do much there either, since i know i couldnt go in water then, so no swimming nor snorkelling nor diving, wat else can i do there apart from my mission to shop. I did my shopping on my first day, and got some really cheap good stocks :p but little bargains sadly.. still happy for the first day!

Then wat can we do on our second? hmm the hotel office offered us some tips... kayaking! n elephant riding!

my my... they were all my first time.. I enjoyed the kayaking though we always fall back soooo way behind the ang mors, God knows how they do it? Then the elephants... this would be my first n last ride on them... i hate stepping on their back n heads, feels so cruel, and the trainers poke their heads wif a sharp tool to control their behaviour.. manz.. dats pitiful! Cant imagine our teachers poking our heads with a scissors when we misbehave. Ouch! Anyway, i sayang my elephant when he finished the ride.. though he dun seemed to mind it at all, as long as he gets his pineapples n bananas.

Finally..jus to pamper our bodies after an energy giving day, we went for a thai massage! hahaha a worth it one, only 200baht for an hour!
All the bending, pressing, cracking, stretching really gave my body a good surge of energy. We went to look for our food later, walking across a few streets, it was quite quite hard to recall all the streets we walked before, only recognise the gorilla traffic lights.

We got to our fav restaurant (we already labelled as our fav after day 1) and met a nice fren there (u guessed it, he is ang mor). He brought us to the busy town and showed us around some festivals. But we were already too exhausted to watch on the trance...so he promised to bring us ard on our last day! Really nice krabi people ah! They really left us with lovely memories of the place...

Nice people, and beautiful sceneries...

Holiday Spree Finale

Jus a more than a mth ago... the deja vu is over, i guess its jus too fast, so fast that i missed a blog to complete.

Its been a long time since i had a school vacations, like 10 years ? Most likely defined as a relaxed outing with no rush with a cup of coffee, a romantic novel, the sun and the beach, rhythm of the waves singing to the tunes of Beach Boys "Kokomo". I guess i didnt had a holiday, it was rather like an escapade to neverlands :)

Anyway, time passed so fast, holiday mood is gone, feelings are left behind, leaving part and parcels of the memories. During this month, some things happened and made me treasure my life even more. Taking health and family for granted, i felt pretty remorseful. But Nov was a good mth, i had time wif close frens and Dec was better, i had time to give my body a break, and a better time wif more frens (birthdays and xmas parties) and even completed our fund raising website www.creations2touch.com for Vday 07. It was all fruitful i must say, thank God for all that has happened these few mths. I have learnt a lot from experiences, the good and bad. Of cos I hoped i could ve achieved more this year, but its ending soon...so I would only give thanks:) Thank you for a peaceful and fruitful year.

Its christmas mood today, feels nice on this 23rd Dec 06, did a small part to bring some smiles to children at Sun Beam home with lovely Caffeine pple, esp with the efforts of Chris, Randy, Richard and Joanne and then a superb pot luck at Junliang's cosy nest, his house is really too much fun, that we were too occupied wif Cable TV, mahjong and Karaoke, almost 6 hours there flew past like a lightning :P wif great food from lovely frens, and great host too. (see photos) This bunch of buddies usually gather twice a year, like Christmas and CNY since after sec sch days...and miscellaneous small groups during birthdays irreguarly. Still we felt pretty close. Hope we would still continue tis custom in many years to come :P

Just 2 more beautiful days to real xmas... Its great to celebrate at home, still there are a few close frens far far away from us...Not forgetting to wish Feli, Joe, Francis, Echo, Elkan and Grey a beautiful cold cold xmas and a wonderful new year in Shanghai, boy must be a great experience overseas :) Must enjoy! On a happy note and an old fashion way ~ have a Merry Christmas...Ho Ho Ho!

Holiday Bites 2

Imagine riding a roller coaster, lifting your hearts in suspense when it rises, then suddenly throwing  you down when it drops.. i seemed to ve gone thru that period when i first landed home..being thrown down from the airplane after a good break.

Touching down on mainland, some things feels so familiar, maybe cos i was there 7 mths ago. In fact nothing much was unfamiliar, even the faces, haha, a very familiar face in thick winter coat came by and greeted me, "Hey there!"...heee, it was Mighty Joe and so naturally we walked off as if we were walking towards Parkway, except we were strolling with my bulky luggy..

Towards the Maglev train (the world's fastest train, http://www.smtdc.com/en/xnlv4.asp) station, like a pumpkin in a city, am so excited to take the speedo at 300km/hr.

Whilst in train, time flies like bullet too.. within mins we reached our destination, the distance it felt like from jurong to pasir ris in 20mins, how fasinating and such a time saver! But in a split sec, it made me recall the movie "Click" i caught on the plane, just wouldnt want my life to move so fast like tis bullet train either..

Off the express train, we started snapping pics again, like a tourist, almost every step i took was documented. I felt jus like Princess D for a while.. hahha.. but not lasting long, we hopped on a normal cab.. and the journey to our lodging was twice the train journey.... ...

My lodging? On the expense and honour of Mighty Joe's place.. am really grateful...saved my pocket quite a bit, jus a bit of price to pay, do his dishes and trashes...not too high a price still. Early in the morning am greeted with a warm place and a cosy sofa bed, yawnzz am lazing to sleep again.

Okie, 30mins later.. time shouldnt be wasted like dis, so we smacked and left the place for lunch.. and first meal was at? No prize for guessing it right. Where else? but at our familiar Su Zhe Hui at Jinmao. A good lazy saturday afternoon was spent having a great buffet and taking snapping photos..

Where is Echo and Francis?.. ah huh.. they have not guessed that i had arrived i supposed :P a ready surprise for them. They are popping by Mighty Joe's place in the evening, while i hid in my room and await for them to go down and get their car.. and as they vanished, i sneaked out of the hse with m.joe and followed dem to their parking lot.. Like a thief, i appeared before their car, shadowing m.joe.. den i hear echo yelled, before i saw her in the car, like spotting a cockroach, while francis looked pretty numbed like usual...

Anyway, that's not the whole story, its our first journey out for dinner.. and we actually travelled all the way near Hong Qiao i tink, for a western meal at Blue Frog...a bit like our Holland V setting. (How great to ve a "Fran" who drives) The place prob is one of the least dining areas i see in Shanghai with 90% caucasian customers... We felt pretty odd there for a while... but well who cares, the food is great... huge portions, and Mighty joe, even ordered salad and baked rice.. not knowing their salads could feed the cows too :P

to be continued..
